God created us to live in relationship. Practically every human is involved in countless
relationships in the course of a lifetime. Unfortunately, most of us learn about relationships by
trial and error, and sometimes the damage of the errors lasts a lifetime.
Relationship 101 is a weekend workshop for teens ages 14-17. This experiential workshop is designed to help teens prepare for a lifetime of healthy, intimate realtionships and healthy sexuality.
Relationship 101 is limited to 8 participants and is presented over a weekend (Fri - Sun). The workshop for guys is co-directed by Steve Holladay and Ken Graham, director of the Center for Relational Healing. (Co-directors for the workshop for girls TBD.)
The following topics are addressed in an interactive way during the 3 day workshop for guys:
- forming positive relationships
- appropriate expression of emotions
- genuine intimacy
- managing anger
- authentic masculinity
- healthy sexuality
- spiritual formation
- sexual integrity
Activites involved include:
- teaching
- role playing
- group processing
- trust building exercises
A workshop for girls is being planned for 2009 with co-directors TBD.
